Earth Wind & Fire: The Name Says It All
Tuesday, January 14, 2014 | Subject: Earth Wind & Fire | Category: Music

Earth, Wind & Fire is an R&B group founded by Maurice White in 1969. They are one of the most successful and critically acclaimed bands of the twentieth century per Rolling Stone Magazine.

One thing curious yet very obvious is the groups fascination with Egyptian Pagan symbolism. In fact, almost all of their album literature contains these references.

It turns out that Maurice White was heavily into the occult. He explains that the purpose of their music is to raise awareness in people of cosmic consciousness.
In the CD folder for their greatest hits Vol. 1 he explains how their music is “conjured” from a higher power or force but says “not from the guy in robe and sandals” - I think you get the point.

It is no coincidence the groups name (Earth Wind & Fire) is made of up of 3 of the four elements (excluding water) in Wicca and Paganism.
