Russel Simmons the Rap Mogul who co-founded Def Jam Records was recently recorded stating that the Illuminati does not exist and he would know because he's rich. He continued further by adding that the whole Illuminati thing is just an excuse for lazy people who don't work hard like him. OK, Russ. But then what would you expect him to say? The story goes Rick Rubin the co-founder of Def Jam met Simmons in a chance encounter at a nightclub when Russel was a college drop out and Rubin was a student at NYU. They became quick friends and the rest is history. Although Rick Rubin keeps a very low profile he actually is one of the most successful American music producers in the last 30 years. Rubin who rarely gives interviews practices Buddhism, an eastern mystical, deity based religion that believes in reincarnation and worships the dead.
Rubin owns the infamous haunted mansion of Harry Houdini the magician, which he turned into a music studio. Houdini was obsessed with connecting world of the spirits and the dead. The Houdini mansion was also a gathering place in the 60's for bands such as Jim Morrison (The Doors), Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix & Charles Manson & family. Wonder why, could it be something mystical there? And why would Rubin buy it & make music there? In addition to urban occult rap artists Rubin produced satanic heavy metal bands such as AC/DC, Metallica and Black Sabbath.
So in addition to having a business partner/buddy with some questionable occult ties, pushing satanic/derogatory rhymes over beats for 30 years, Russel also has thrown his hat into the ever profitable celebrity New Age arena. Yes like
Oprah, Russell is peddling self help, "you can be great too" books. Just relax, open your mind and see the light, OK Russ.
