Rapper Bobby Shmurda had a hit record that reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014. The song was called "Hot Nigga" and in it he bragged about being a thug, guns and drugs. All the things they wish to promote to the youth. In the video for the song he had all his 'GS9' gang member friends in it. Doing gang signs and the like, all on Epic Records dime and knowledge. Real life stuff here!
Later the same year Shmurda was charged and then later convicted of conspiracy to commit murder along with his GS9 gang buddies, while living up to the image he portrayed and was paid to promote by Epic Records. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Below is the very sad and degrading performance Bobby Shmurda performed for Epic executives, where he is prancing around like a fool in the same vain as early 1900's characters as Steppin Fetchit and Sleep n' Eat. The Executives sit around watching him like he's stage animal, not cheering him along. Indeed to them he is. An expendable tool to make money and push their agenda of society degradation, who is used and then discarded.
That is exactly what happened Bobby Shmurda, he was discarded. No one from Epic Records stepped in to help Bobby Shmurda legally, no bail, no one visited him, they simply dropped him. In YouTube prison interviews he now says he feels like a slave.
It's is no coincidence that only rappers that sing about sex, drugs, crime and violence get signed. Unfortunately Bobby you have been a slave from the start.
